Just out of curiosity...... Are there any notable places to visit in Ktown besides the restaurants and clubs......?

^fo sho! what we need is a movie theatre for korean movies. not the ones you find at the video stores, but the ones that are new releases in Korea! A play and any other fine arts is cool, but with the ktown foo's, most don't really know what the hell art really is.

ktown's fun in moderation, but daily.. omg someone just shoot me.

that steak house is called taylor's. anyway, yeah they got a decent prime rib, and the service has always been friendly.

as for movies, ...i've been seeing lots of korean movies here. i saw "scandal", "memories of murder", "oh! brothers", "shilmido", and a few others... it would be nice to have a theater for korean movies in america, but then how many koreans are there in the LA area that would actually go see a movie there? im sure a lot would, but maybe not enough to stay in business? who knows.

i think the bigger movies, like silmido or taegukki hweenalleemyuh are possible to get into the states to show at the regular theaters, like the italian flick "la vita e bella". but then, do most americans even care about the korean war or whatever? probably not, so for now, uhhhhh,,, no korean movies, sorry.

however, i think there are plans being made to bring taegukki and shilmido to the states to have released all over or something. its up to the major production co's or whatever to make the decision.
