the art of fried eggs

i just can't make one without tearing it from the pan....and breaking it apart.

i like how korean restaurants make it nice and thin with crispy edges.

I can never do that tho............

who knows how?

hot pan, well greased, don't try to flip it too soon if you flip it at all.

Aren't eggs one of the hardest foods to cook properly? I still can't manage to cook eggs properly. I either overcook or undercook them.

Although I found out that cooking them for about 45-60secs gives a really good consistency.

the perfect egg: by jonkim
put about a half dollar size amount of cooking oil (canola, veggie dont' matter)

Sunnyside Up
slow cook the egg, medium heat, and let it fry. i like to cover it up with a pot cover so the steam heats the top as well and you get an evenly cooked egg. after that, the oil should make it easy for you to slide the egg right off.

Scrammbled
heat the pan like a motherfker. like get it REALLY hot. after like 2 minutes pour the scrammbled egg into the pan and keep stiring with a chopstick or a plastic spacula (dont want the pan to be scratched from metel on metel action). while you are doing that, sprinkle some salt/pepper/tobasco and you should be golden.

Messy/"korean" egg
This is a lazy man's way to cook an egg. you don't have to be careful about the yoke breaking or anything. all you do is heat the pan to around medium, get the oil ready, put the egg into the pan. break the yoke pouch and let it go all over the place, but in a relatively small area. get your spacula and kinda move in teh edges and make sure that the egg isn't fixed to the pan. then flip it. and let it cook for awhile on the other side. easy and yumyum :3

MY FAVORITE KIND OF EGG
this is basically an omelette. you get like 2 eggs, onion, spam, (anymeat) and put it in a bowl. salt pepper that sh*t and get the pan scorching hot. put a good amount of oil in there so it doesn't stick and after the pan is really hot, pour the egg stuff into there. you gotta keep the egg moving around so it doesn't burn. after it gets to a good color, turn the heat to low and get some chedder cheese ready. turn the egg to the side least cooked and put the cheese on the side of the egg most cooked. then put the top on it and let it sit until the cheese is sizzling off the side of the eggs AHGKASGHAKLSGLASGH YUM. if that doesn't get your mouth watering, i don't know what will.
