Okay guys, share your KClubbing Secrets. How to get remembered. If you've never been KClubbing before, this thread's for you!.
My tip? Well, Tip WELL.
Usually, when I go out to Prive, it's usually with a hyung, who's very good friends with one of the waiters... At the end of the night, our bill is usually around 200-250. We tip him 80-100 bucks. Yeah, that's kinda much, but I'll tell you, he always gives us really awesome tables and brings girls non-stop. Did I mention that the flow of girls to our table is NON-STOP? Hahaha sometimes he'll bring girls when there's already some there, grab the other girls by the wrist and pull em away... Kinda like saying "Here, let's trade!"

Wow... I only tip like $50-$60 for a bill of $200-250! But I've been K-clubbing since when I was 18... and the waiters are usually all the same people. They just circulate to different clubs now and then, so they still know me. Plus, I never ask for booking. I hate the concept of it. Sitting there, waiting for some waiter to yank a girl over to me, hoping that the girl is a cutie. Why bother? Just grab the cutie yourself!

secret for guys with the table is to never hand out a drink to any girl unless he knows for sure he'll get a good time, and/or a number out of it. And make sure you don't get a reject number!

haha yeah, but everytime we tell our waiter not to book, he always does... It's a personal thing between my hyung and him, cuz they go WAAAAAAAY back, but it's so damn funny... Naw, the reason we tip so high is cuz he cut us HUGE slack on the bill... That 200-250 is usually for 2 bottles of crown, a fruit plate, the dinner anju thing, and about a dozen bottles of beer.
Oh and I'm anti-booking too. I just sit there on the end, feeling sorry for those girls... oh man, I'd hate to be dragged left and right, especially when I came just to have fun and dance, ya know?

lol the funny thing is while you guys are talking about the women being booking left and right, dragged by the waiters... what about the poor guys like myself who get dragged by the waiter? LoL it happened to me twice and I didn't like it much... I know how those girls feel!
Besides, it was embarassing having a waiter hold my hand just to drag me over to a table full of unattractive, older ajjumah women

Yeah, Jubers, I was gonna say... Kclubs have something called promos, just like you mentioned above... But the stories I hear from my female friends are a lot different. They PAY for their full table, and STILL the waiters try to pull them away. I mean, cmon, a little bit a respect?
And then, like you said, there's something I like to call the "Pro" clubbers. =) I have a few female friends who are very pro at what they do, and boy, they know how to work it! haha

this sounds like fishing for fish in a fish tank. i'd rather keep my 200 bucks.. and go pay $20 cover charge at a club and go dance. see this is why korean "booking" clubs appeal to korean guys so much, 1) it requires no social skills 2) it requires no dancing.. watever floats ur boat.
anyhoo is anyone is going to highland for new years.. i'll see you there. i watched alot of soul train this week and i think i got this dancing thing down.

BAH! Highlands SUCK! Yeah, ktown booking is ghetto. Whenever I go to kclubs, I rarely go with just the guys, and very rarely go for "booking". I'd rather go with a group of friends, and just party it up.
Haven't gone clubbin' in awhile. Hasn't been something that's been in my veins as of late.
Besides KClubbin', I think in ktown, the cafe's are where it's at. I have the most fun at places like Nandarang, New York New York, and Orchid.

y'all think that booking is the only feature that korean clubs offer.
maybe instead of always looking at it from your own perspective, you spend some time in the other person's shoes.
why do we go korean clubbing...let's see.
1. it's fu*kin cheap.
2. it's comfortable. i can go to vr either hooched out or in sweats and flip flops, depending on MY mood.
3. it's close by. no chance of DUI here.
4. it's like cheers.
5. sometimes u just wanna go somewhere to have a few drinks and dance.
there's all this bitchin and moaning about korean clubs being so expensive, how they hate booking, how they hate girls who come to their table and drink all their liquor, how they hate that they have to get a table...wah wah wah. plain and simple: then don't go.
you think you have it bad that the girls come to your table and drink all your sh*t...what about being dragged around when you came there to play with your friends and being forced to conversate with total REJECTS. let's trade girls! haha that's hilarious. wouldn't you figure if you have to waste your time sitting there with the losers, you would get something out of it? maybe a shot? but usually it ain't even worth it. i'll bone out the second my ass touches the seat.
don't get me wrong. i am in no way angry (i'm so tired of people thinking i'm mad just cuz i say fu*k. well fyi, i say fu*k alot ok? fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck). just puttin in my 2cents from a girl's point of view since it seems to be lacking in this thread

rara u rock. Thanks for the input!! haha, oh wow. I never considered myself a total REJECT before. I usually tell the girls upfront that I ain't into booking, so feel free to drink as much as they want, and just talk about whatever... we usually end up talking about how funny the kclubs are but how we all keep coming back. And then by the end of the night, they seem to appreciate that we never tried to make a move on them and end up going to NRB or something... heh.
But yeah, compared to American clubs, Kclubbing is a bit cheaper.
Tables at American Clubs are free, but BOTTLE SERVICE IS MANDATORY. so "free" my ass. Minimum bottle there is usually around 250. If you want beer on top of that? 6 bucks a beer. so by the end of the night, a table of 6 peeps is usually around 350-400. PLUS tip.
Kclub. If you know the waiter well, a bottle of Crown is anywhere from 150-200. Now this INCLUDES Fruit Plate and Dinner Special... And if you want beer? You just tell your waiter, and he'll most likely bring it as a service. So by the end of the night, you'll end up paying about 250 including tip, which is the same amount you would have had to pay at american clubs JUST FOR THE BOTTLE OF THEIR CHEAPEST sh*t.
I know, Crown's not that great either, but it's the norm at Kclubs. Anyone know how much a table + XO is at Korean clubs?

well... i dont go2 kclubz tht much~ if i do, its not for the bookin~ i only booked twice @ a kclub~
im jus not a clubbin person~ too crowded~
too expensive...

if you don't want to give out your liquor, that's FINE. hell i wouldn't wanna give mine to any random person coming by my table either! but it's quite lame to think that every girl comin by getting booked to you is after your lics. most of the time, they can and will get it elsewhere so if the conversation is cool, they will stay to just hang out. if you want them to leave, just don't offer anything. if they are shady like that, they will leave before you can say "next?".
seriously, it's so distasteful to see/hear ppl complain about things as trivial as this. so if i get a little feisty, i apologize.

heh...booking is ok. just talk to the girl and if you're a total reject they'll just "go to the bathroom" after a few seconds anyway.
not to totally show my age but i remember back in the days of sparks, saga, juliana, etc...there was no booking. you just showed up with friends, tried to find girls, etc. funny thing is that the prices back then were the same as now (~$200 for a bottle of crown + fruit plate). waiters were just busy running around getting drinks and cigarettes for everyone.
back in the day in korea (in high school), i used to go to some of the clubs over there (dankoh, juliana, eskiss, barbarella, etc...and crappy clubs like unicorn, memphis, etc.) and they didn't have booking there either. it was just a bunch of thugs hanging out at those places. everyone smoked so much that at some places the table minimums came with 2 packs of cigarettes (they just assume that you smoke).
when booking got really big in korea, it got HUGE. waiters were all over the cafes in apkujungdong handing out their cards and telling you stuff like "my booking is so good you will want to marry the girl", etc.
so basically...it's just a trend. koreans aren't that comfortable (unless you're good looking like jubers) with walking up to random girls and initiating conversation. and lots of korean girls also don't like it when they are approached like that. the waiter being in the middle eases those things a bit. rejects get to talk to a good looking girl sometimes and girls sometimes meet that funny guy who gives them a few laughs.
just drink...have fun...and do the RVD dance.
