Are you a huge ramen fan? Do you crave
Shin ramen, Ichiban, Nuh-goo-ree and other brands of sodium-packed noodles
and MSG juice in the middle of the night? If ramen was actually healthy,
do you see yourself slurping that sumbitch down religiously? If so, we
have found a little place we like to call, ramen heaven...or for those of
you that are aware of this hidden jem in Little Tokyo, you know it as
Orochon!
The noodles are delicious, and the broth...oh the sanity...the broth is oh
so delicious. You can choose from 3 different flavors, miso, salt, and soy
sauce. That's right, as if ramen wasn't salty enough, Orochon offers you
enough sodium to turn you bloated 'til you pop! But hey, who cares? The
food is incredibly tasty, and for those of you that know, you know it's
like cocaine for your tummy. But in all seriousness, it's definitely
quality ramen, nothing like the ramen you make at home. The Ktown213 Good
Eats Krew recommends the miso flavor, we feel that it's the best one!
Orochon also offers different levels of spicyness, and if you can finish
their Special 1 and Special 2 spicy bowls in less than 30 minutes, you win
$500! OK, just kidding about the $500, but they take a cute little picture
of you with a Polaroid camera and stick it up on the wall for everyone to
see! But beware, they don't call it "special" for nothing, your upper lip
will literally start burning!

As for the service, they're pretty quick
to bring out your order, and the servers are very nice people. Ambience?
It's a hole in the wall, so you figure it out. So with all that said,
c'mon, give it a try. I know it's not a Ktown restaurant, but heck it's
only a few minutes away. And if anyone can appreciate ramen to the
fullest, it's the Koreans!

P.S. - Don't forget to add Chasu (pork)
on your rament for 99 cents extra. Trust me, you'll orgasm right there and
then as it literally melts in your mouth.
