So tell us about your team, your ride, and yourself.

Team Illmatic was formed in 1999 by three friends who shared a common passion in tuning import cars. At first it was just a hobby and the team name was adopted as a humorous moniker. However, the team grew quickly and became involved with the import show scene. The team debuted their cars at the Hot Import Nights show in San Bernadino three years ago and has been competing (in various shows) ever since.

Once called Illmatic Speed, we are now simply Illmatic. What was once just three friends, who started this as an after-school hobby, has now expanded into an organization consisting of over 20 members. We continually strive to be one of Southern California's finest car crews and hope to carry on our love of the import culture well into the future.

Our team has grown and continues to grow as a force to be reckoned with in the Southern California and Northern California Import Scene. We travel all over California to attend and compete in car shows. Companies such as Meguiar’s Car care and NX (Nitrous Express) are just a few of our sponsors who recognize our potential and support us along the way. Shortly you shall be seeing us in the top import magazines and websites. [That is all I can say for now…anymore info and I’ll get in trouble =)]

As for myself, I attended a private school in LA called Pilgrim School for HS and then in the fall of 1998 made my trek to Northern California to attend UC Berkeley. There, amidst my numerous trips back into K-Town LA, I studied Political Science with an emphasis on International Relations. I graduated in 2002 with a BA in Political Science and decided to go into law. I am currently working as a legal assistant in a law firm in K-town and deal with matters dealing with civil litigation. As I learn more about the protocols of being a lawyer, I am also studying for my LSAT exam. I shall be attending law school by the end the coming year (fall ’04) =)
