Q & A with Erica & Lisa,
the twins!
Ktown213:
Erica and Lisa, how about a quick intro? How long have you guys
been modeling, and what made you decide to get into it?
Erica: I don't consider
ourselves models. However, we did one magazine cover last April
for Dragsports. We were interested in modeling but never got serious
due to our busy schedule.
Lisa: Well for me, since last
year. I always wanted to model but I wasnt tall enough. But one
day, one of my friends who searched for models for his magazine asked me
and my sister to be on the cover in Fukumi and Fukuyu outfits with a
racer dressed as Austin Power. You can see the magazine cover at
www.dragsports.com
for the April issue, 2003.
KT213: You guys were born in
Korea, grew up in Japan, and now you reside in California. Whats it
been like growing up in different parts of the world?
Erica: It was always tough at
first but once we started to talk, make friends, learn new things, and
go out, it really became fun.
Lisa: Its very interesting
and confusing at first but I enjoyed the experience so much. Hopefully,
I can live somewhere else again.
KT213: Any recent projects?
Where can we see more of Erica and Lisa Kim?
Erica: Our recent project was
to finish our first debut album, called Fantasy." The genre is
hybrid. Most of our songs are Dance-pop but we have a few songs
that have good cross-over between pop and urban music. We have all kinds
for the world market. The album will be distributed globally and in MP3
format in English, Korean, and Japanese. They are already
available at
http://www.migrecords.com,
http://www.fantasytwins.com, and
http://www.musicwatchavision.com.
Lisa: After our first album
was done, we had to start the second album immediately. We wrote most of
our songs on our album in English, Japanese, and Korean and that means
we almost always have to write songs. It is very tough but we can do it.
|
KT213: Wow, songs in three languages?
Erica: As you see American Idol,
writing song is a tough major. But writing in 3 different languages is
tougher. But we can do it he he he he
Lisa: Writing in Japanese and Korean
was easy but putting them in melodies was hard. We had to change
words around to fit the melodies.
KT213: Do you guys ever hang out
in K-Town? If yes, where? If not, why not?
Erica: I would love to hang out if I
had time. I work from the time I get up and until the time I go to bed. If
I can go to the supermarket for grocery, I would feel lucky.
Lisa: Oh, yeah, we love to go to
Korean Arcades, PC rooms, coffee shops, bars, clubs, pool places,
restaurants, supermarkets and all kinds of stores. But Mainly we go there
for delicious Kimchee!
KT213: Any funny stories growing up, where people
constantly mixed you two up?
Erica: We switched our class rooms
once. Everybody was giggling except the teacher. Of course, the teacher
had no idea why the whole class was giggling. This other time I broke up
with my ex-boyfriend and I was lonely. And at that time Lisa just
got a new one. I asked Lisa to give me all the phone numbers of cute guys
she met once, and I got myself a nice date and told him I am not Lisa.
He didnt have a problem as he didnt know Lisa personally. He was glad at
least one of us was available for him, ha ha.
Lisa: In many cases, some of my
friends dont know I have a twin sister and they see Erica in streets or
stores thinking its me. Erica doesnt respond to my friends as she
doesnt know them. (Erica: People
stare at me for no reason!) When I saw my friends, I would be very
friendly. They thought I had two personalities and thought I had a serious
mental problem. They thought I was a scary person, ha ha.
KT213: What do you guys like to
do during your free time?
Erica: I like listening to
Electronica music, so I would say going to clubs. My favorite place in LA
is Spundae. Or sometimes I listen to online radio for Electronica/Dance
music. I go on chat rooms a lot just to talk to people. I dont have time
to socialize and I try to socialize in chat rooms. Isn't it sad? Ha
ha. I play chess online even though I usually never win. I also like to
spend time at Best Buys!
Lisa: Surfing the Internet,
reading many cool science and entertainment articles in Japanese, English,
and Korean. I also like going to nice restaurants, playing video
games, and sports. Please invite us to play basketball, volleyball,
racquetball, tennis, softball, and on and on. Lets compete against
each other!
KT213: Ha ha, we'll be sure to
let you guys know if we ever host a sports tournament. Now, what are
your turn-ons and turn-offs?
Erica: My turn on's are
guys that are mature, smart, funny, loyal, family-oriented, and
successful. I am such a business-minded, not-so-family person that I
always wanted a guy that valued family the most. I like a guy that
leads but at the same time can be flexibleinstead of the whatever you
want kind of guys.
My turn off's would be guys that talk too much, bossy, closed-minded, drug
addicts, and etc.
Lisa: My turn on's are positive
thinkers, someone who's wise and smart, athletic men, giver and receiver,
a true gentleman, and a man with a big heart. My turn off's are drug
addicts, alcoholics, no future goals, who gives up easily, scared of being
in love, liars, bossy person, deceiving person, lazy person, not friendly,
stuck up, etc. You know the type!
KT213: Ha ha, well we thank you
for your time, and good luck with your careers! Im sure well be hearing
more of you very shortly!
Erica: Thank you. We would love to
support your organization and K-Town. Just let us know!!! |
