Q&A: Azalei
Part I: The Interview

KTOWN213: Azalei, you know the drill. Give us your 30-second intro!
AZALEI: Is 30 seconds enough? Haha! My name is Azalei, and I'm 21 years old. I currently live in Hollywood with my best friend Stephani Sweet. I started modeling not too long ago, last summer to be exact. Right now, modeling is only for fun and for some extra money on the side. There are thousands of beautiful girls out there that making a good living from modeling, but that's not me. I have other plans in my life. I love art! I'm actually a photographer myself and got accepted into an art institute for Interior design. But temporarily I quit my job at T-Mobile, and now I work full time for an Escrow company. My life might sound boring, but I promise you I'm a crazy-loud-fun-loving person when you go out with me!

Kt213: OK that was more than 30 seconds but I'll let you slide. How'd you get your start in this industry?
AZALEI: My friend started modeling before me and she asked me to go do a photo shoot with her. Self-conscious of my body, I wasn't going to go through with it. But last minute I changed my mind and went with her. Anyways, it couldn't hurt and plus they airbrush everything hahahaha! So after our 32 hour photoshoot, soon came our first show at Formula Drift. People buying my pictures and taking pictures with me just made me feel pretty good. Hey what girl doesn't like the attention right? It was really hard in the beginning though. Nobody really knows you, people start judging you, and I even had an ex-boyfriend calling me...lets just say unappropriate names. I think that put me down the most, but after Tila messaged me and told me to
forget about the haters. Her support put me back on my feet. I don't really care what people think of me now. I'm real and that's all that matters!

Kt213: Hey I gotta say that's been one of the most honest answers I've heard from anyone. Much props to you. Now, what do you do on your spare time?
AZALEI: Well like I mentioned before, I've been in love with photography for as long as I can remember. It helped that both of my parents were photographers, because I had access too all the nice equipment as a kid. I don't have much time for it now,
but I still love it! Hmm...also I'm a big fan of Contemporary Art. I'm like a granny and I like site seeing and stuff. I use to be an outdoors kinda girl...jet skiing, rock climbing, and camping. But I haven't done any of that in a long time! Now days I just stay at home and watch movies while eating my ice cream and pie. I'm lazy! Haha. When my girls drag me out every-so often...ok like 1 or 2 times a week, we go out to The Falcon, which is a bar next to my apartment, CLUB XES, Saddle Ranch on Sunset, Miyagi's when I'm hungry, The Highlands, although I had a near-death experience last time I went, the Roxy, Rainbow Room, Redrock, and blah blah blah. You know, the places in my friendly Neighborhood of Hollywood. Once in a while I come to K-Town to see old faces and meet new ones. I actually work in K-Town so I like to leave when I can. Haha, just kidding!

Kt213: Wow, those are a lot of clubs! Ha ha, OK, I gotta ask you what your turn-ons and turn-offs are.
AZALEI: My turnons are guys that can make me laugh, arms-wow, bald guys, and a guy that can eat as much as me! My turnoffs are just rude guys in general, guys that try to "holla."  Ewww...who does that? Haha...ok not exactly tryin' to holla, but guys that pass me and make noises like umm...ewww! That's so nasty! Guys that wanna be my suger-daddy! I don't need one! Guys that are just cocky! And I hate all haters! Haha.

Kt213: So let me get this straight. You like bald guys with big arms that can eat as much as you, and you don't need a guy who flashes his money tryin' to be your suger-daddy. Guys, are you hearing this? Haha, so where can we see more of you?
AZALEI: Haha, you can see me around in Hollywood or in K-Town if you know any of my friends, but mainly in the Valley with my boyfriend or my little brother.

AZALEI: Big shout-out to my peoples in LTG Familia! And my girls of course, my real friends I could probably count with one hand...Woo , Jon, Stephani Sweet, Tanya, and Jikko.
