Richey Lam
Ktown213: Hey Richey give our viewers your 30 sec intro!
Richey Lam: Pure unadulterated wholesome fun! Is how I like to describe myself, Something for everybody. My shows, for the most part are PG rated with a couple of “Bleeps” now and then. I do encourage everybody to read my disclaimer on my website www.richeylam.com before every show! Ha!

Kt213: Give us a little background, where did you grow up and what made you fall in love with music and performing?
RL: I grew up in a small suburb of Alpharetta, GA. I’ve been surrounded by music my whole life. Whether it be from church or choir or my grandfather, who was the Hong Kong symphony conductor for 25 years. I’ve been performing ever since I can remember. I use to love the original Star Search with Ed McMahon. I always wanted to be a contestant, I thought I would have given those kids a run for their money.

Kt213: Being from the south, What’s that like?
RL: Awesome! I love the south. A lot of my style comes from southern roots. I definitely was the only Asian growing up. There’s a lot of stereotypes you might think of when you think of GA. And a lot of them are true, but there’s only good thoughts that come to my mind. It’s where I’m from and I’m proud to represent.

Kt213: I personally saw you perform at PK’s Kollaboration last year and you simply rocked the house. Were you happy with your performance there?
RL: Definitely! I couldn’t have asked for a better and more supportive audience. I’d love to come back and perform.

Kt213: Where can we see more of Richey Lam? Any upcoming projects?
RL: I actually just played a show at The Mint in Hollywood. I’m always doing shows all over LA. I’m currently booking shows up the west coast, playing as many colleges that will let me.

Kt213: For all the ladies in K-Town, are you single? What are your turn-on’s and turn-offs?
RL: Single and free as a bird! The kind of girls I like would have to be down to earth, All Na.Tu.RAL! A girl who could laugh and cut up with me. Someone who is sweet, but no too sweet when we’re alone.
Turn on’s- Sundresses, Glasses, Peach Fuzz, Straight teeth, Home made cooking, Pastel colors, white pants, Skirts, Pony tails, Athletic, funny, witty, good dancer, Good singer, Cool.
Turn off’s- Bad Breath and Grandma panties!

Kt213: Ha ha ha, grandma panties...sorry.  What’s your impression of K-Town so far? Any favorite hang-outs?
RL: I love K-Town. Not too familiar with the place, but willing to find out.

Kt213: Well we thank you for your time Richey, and we wish you the best of luck!
RL: Thanks K-Town!
