Interview with Kylah Kim

Ktown213: Hello Kylah, give our Ktown213 viewers your 30 second intro!
Kylah Kim: Howdy ya'll! So...I'm Kylah. : ) I was born & raised in the great state of Texas. I come from a big family (I'm the third daughter and also have a younger brother). Growing up as a middle child, I was always seeking ways to get attention...hehe. Looks like all that scheming worked! Seriously, I would describe myself as motivated, free-spirited, and passionate . I can also be a total goof-ball and love joking around with my friends!

Kt213: What have you been up to lately? Any current or upcoming projects you'd like to share with our viewers?
KK: Oh, I am ALWAYS up to something crazy! My schedule right now is hectic to say the least. Right now, I'm taking acting classes, going to auditions, and throwin' in some spicy hot swimsuit/lingerie photo shoots in between! I recently did a photo shoot for E! Wild On! It was so much fun and we did an interview and some behind-the-scenes footage (which is always crazy madness!) Also, look for me in a new Verizon slideshow called "Asian Beauties." You can download it from your cell phone soon!

Kt213: Your resume is quite impressive...from film and TV to modeling and hosting shows...what's your favorite thing to do?
KK: Honestly, my favorite thing to do is acting. I find it extremely challenging, and therefore, rewarding. I like to create a fantasy world and play different characters. Acting tests my limits in almost every imaginable emotion/setting. I enjoy expressing myself and acting allows me to do that.

Kt213: Tell us a bit about your background, you grew up in Texas yes?
KK: Yep, yep! I grew up in a small city just outside of Dallas. There were like NO Asians at my school so I was a total banana. But, during college (Hook-em Horns!) I made the transition and learned so much about my Korean-American heritage. It was really empowering to know where I came from. For the first time, I really felt like I knew who I was and was comfortable in my own skin. Oh, and as any good Texan would, I absolutely LOVE football. I got so caught up in a game one year, that I refused to eat Thanksgiving dinner when the Cowboys lost. Extreme, I know. That's me!

Kt213: Have you visited Korea or K-Town Los Angeles as of late? If so, how was the experience? If not, would you like to?
KK:  I visited Seoul once about 10 years ago so I don't remember much. As for K-Town, you bet! I LOVE Korean food! Mr. Park's BBQ is wonderful! Also, I love this cute, little Hello Kitty store in the Koreatown Galleria. I have spent so much money in there, it's ridiculous!

Kt213: Where can we learn more about your Kylah Kim?
KK:  Visit my website @ www.kylahkim.com. Also you can myspace me @ www.myspace.com/kylahkim.

Kt213: Whats been the most funny or embarrassing moment in your career?
KK:  Hmmmm...I guess one of the first times I made a public appearance (I did a national campaign for Bud Light), I had to sign posters of myself in a bikini. It was pretty overwhelming but exciting at the same time. One thing I remember thinking was that I simply had to improve my signature! It looked like a 5-year-old's handwriting!

Kt213: On the same token, what has been the most memorable moment in your career?
KK:  Well, I am a total Seinfeld freak. I think I've seen every episode like 10 times. So, I was doing this music video for Brad Paisley. And, who walks in as the director?? Jason Alexander ("George Costanza")!! I was soooooo psyched to be able to work with him...he was super cool!

Kt213: When Kylah's not so busy, some of her hobbies are...?
KK:  You'll probably catch me taking a yoga/pilates class. I also love being outdoors--especially, the beach! I enjoy jet skiing, snow skiing, hiking, and boating. I am also obsessed with all things Hello Kitty!

Kt213: Well we thank you for your time Kylah, I'm sure our viewers appreciate it greatly. We wish you nothing but the best in all your future endeavors!
KK:  Thank you guys!
