Chris Kim

Ktown213:   How about a 30 second intro?

Chris:  Well, the name's Chris Kim.  I am a kick-ass guitar player straight out of K-Town, and my goal is to be the #1 guitarist in the world.  Killer guitar player with killer soul!

Ktown213:   When did it all start for you?

Chris:  My interest in music started late but I think playing music is never too late to start as long as you have pure soul in your heart.

Ktown213:   We know how Korean parents can get.  Has your family been supportive of your goals and dreams?

Chris:  Actually no, I get a lot of complaints, especially from my mom.  My parents want me to go to school and get a nice job but I love music to death, and I will continue to follow my dreams and continue to play my music.

Ktown213:   Who were some artists that inspired you along the way?

Chris:  Oh man, there's so many of them.  Crash, Yngwie Malmsteen, Metallica, Megadeth, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Sepultura, Slayer, Hyun Suk Lee, Pantera, Guns N' Roses, and Randy Rhodes.  I'm sure there's more.

Ktown213:   What kind of music do you play?

Chris:  Well I guess you can say that my music is mostly guitar-instrumental.  No vocals for me, just a whole lot of guitar.

Ktown213:   Where can we see more of Chris Kim? Any upcoming projects?

Chris:  I am playing at the local live clubs and hopefully all around the world in the future.  Check out my site (www.chriskim.com) for updates.  I'm also writing more songs for now.

Ktown213:   What do you like to do on spare time?  Your hobbies?

Chris:  Well I obviously enjoy playing on stage, like to surf the Internet, and I love watching Korean videos.  I don't have time to watch these days but I simply love it.

Ktown213:   For all the ladies in K-Town, are you single?

Chris:  Believe it or not, I've been single forever.  I think I'm a loser!  Never had a girlfriend, perhaps Ktown213 can help me, ha ha.

Ktown213:   Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Chris:  Getting the respect from the underground music scene and touring all around the world.  There's no mainstream for guitar instrumental music but I want to be the first one to do it.

Ktown213:   Where are your favorite places to chill in K-Town?

Chris:  I've been living in K-Town for almost 11 years now and there are so many nice places to chill at.  It's really hard to pick one to tell you the truth.

Ktown213:   Well we thank you for your time, and we wish you great success!

Chris:  Thank you very much Ktown213, it was a pleasure to talk to you.
