Interview
with
At Last
BY JOHN
LEE
Ktown213:
AT LAST, give the viewers of Ktown213 your
30-second intro!
AT LAST: Wassup K-Town! We're AT LAST...a
4 part R&B harmony group based right here in LA. We are
Mike Lee, Justin Fong, Ken Dela Cruz and Hans Cho.

From left to right: Ken,
Mike, Justin, & Hans
KT213: You gotta tell us, how'd you guys
meet and how did the group come about?
AL - Hans: Well, Mike and I have been singing
together since high school and we met up with Ken and
Justin down here at an audition. We're managed by
Innovazian Records and put together by actress Ming-Na
(ER, Joy Luck Club and Mulan) and her husband, producer
Eric Zee.
KT213: You guys have opened up for some
big stars, Justin Timberlake and Boyz II Men. Tell us
about that experience.
AL: Performing in front of 18,000 people
at Arrowhead Pond was amazing! And we got to meet our
idols, Boyz II Men, who are the reason we're singing
today.
KT213: Not only have you opened up for
big-named stars, but you've been in a lot of
competition, and won!
AL - Justin: It's encouraging being able to
change perceptions of Asians in the entertainment
industry. We've won contests for both KIIS FM and 100.3
The Beat, so it's good to see that we're reaching out
to such a broad audience.
KT213: It's not everyday you come across
four Asian dudes performing R&B harmonies "hiphopapella"
style. With that said, what has been the toughest
roadblock for AT LAST?
AL - Mike: One of our biggest challenges has
been getting thru to the record labels. They love our
sound, but we think it's hard for them to figure out
how to market an Asian group 'cause it's never been
done before. That's what we're here to change! Another
obstacle is ourselves. Sometimes we can be our
own worst critics which can be both good and bad.

KT213: Any upcoming projects? Where can
our Ktown213 viewers see more of AT LAST?
AL - Ken: Right now, we're in the studio
finishing up our first full length album. We're also
filming a new music video and just finished taping for
a new show called "The Tom Joyner Show" which will air
sometime in October. If you want to catch any our
upcoming shows, you can check out

KT213: You guys represent the many diverse
cultures of Asian-Americans, including Korean, Chinese,
& Filipino. Diversity is always good, and is that
important to represent?
AL: Absolutely. We're very proud of our
heritage and backgrounds. Even though we were all
raised here, our parents all immigrated to the States
and made sure to instill in us a strong sense of
culture.
KT213: Where do you guys see yourselves
five years from now?
AL: In a phat ass house in the Hollywood
Hills with a few Grammy's on the mantle, traveling the
world on tour, or Le Prive! The sky's the limit, so as
long as we're still singing and making dope music,
we'll be happy!
KT213: We gotta let our ladies know, are
you guys single? Will you ever come to K-Town?
AL: Yup...we're all single, so let 'em
know! And we always need our Korean food fix so
we're definitely around.
KT213: It's been an honor, and Ktown213 would
like to wish you much success in the near future.
AL: Thanks for having us! Be sure to check
