Hello! We're having a mixer at Cafe Bleu this Thursday at 7pm to celebrate the new Lunar New Year and also to get a chance to meet with some of our performers and jump start Kollaboration 9!!! Invite your friends and let's party~!
Sup everyone. So hear me out...I have couple of new ideas for Laker home games.
For one, every Laker fan knows that when the Lakers are kicking ass in the 4th quarter, the arena will always play the song "We Love LA" right?? Whether it be a huge 4th quarter comeback, or an emphatic dunk followed by the opponent's time out, or just pure 4th quarter domination, they always play that song. And who doesn't like that song? It's tradition. It's spirit. It's purple and gold since the beginning of time, you know?
Weeeell, I think it's time for a change, because I just came across a new "LA" song with more umph, with more attitude...it's edgier, harder, and stronger. It's that one song they play for the LA Kings (hockey team) commercial, called THIS IS LA. It's almost anthem-like and I simply loooooove it.
Am I crazy?? Do you agree with me? Listen below and tell me what you think!
Second, don't you miss the days of Chick Hearn putting games away in the refrigerator? He'd do it in the 4th quarter, and sometimes, just sometimes when he's really feeling good, he'll put it away in the 3rd...hahaha.
Don't you think it would be a great idea to play black old audio segments of Chicky putting games away, LIVE at Staples when the Lakers are almost certain to win? Like play it loud over the PA system, you know?
"This game is in the refrigerator! The door is closed, the lights are out, ... the butter's gettin hard, and the Jello's jigglin!
What do you think? I think I should start a petition for these ideas man....
Beat Freaks is an all-girl crew from California. The original crew has 8 members: Al’Star, Lady Jules, Lockn’Key, Maryss from Paris, Out There, Rino, Teresa Espinosa, Shorty
Personally, I’m a fan of Rino Nakasone....who is not only one of Gwen’s Harajuku Girl, an accomplished teacher, choreographer, and a judge at the 2008 World Hip Hop Championship where the Philippine Allstars won, but just a really cool person. While I do think America’s Best Dance Crew does rig the voting...I certainly hope she wins a piece of that 100G pie. Plus, it’ll be nice to see some really good female dancers on that show....so if you got the time, not only check out the Beat Freaks, but vote for them as well on January 15th.
Catch MTV on Thursday January 15th for Episode 1 of America's Best Dance Crew Season 3. Check your local listings for Showtimes. Online it says 1st episode will run 90min and will begin at 10pm ET/PT (which may mean 7pm Pacific Time...not sure). Take responsibility and vote.
