Have you seen that show The Human Weapon on the History Channel? Where two white folks travel around the world learning about different martial arts and stuff?? Well last season I was disappointed that they didn't cover South Korea and TKD, but I knew it was only a matter of time~!!!!

And please, stop with the MMA vs TKD discussion...it is what it is...just enjoy the kicks ok?

Kollaboration Acoustic Show 2 + Project Michelle

Kollaboration will be hosting a Bone Marrow Drive for Asian Miracle Marrow Matches at our Acoustic Show.

Michelle is 26 years old. Diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in February 2007, Michelle underwent chemotherapy for seven months but relapsed in May 2008. She now needs to find a bone marrow match to save her life. You could be that person.

What you can do to help Michelle or others like her. The first step in becoming a hero requires a cheek swab and ten minutes of your time. If you are a match, the transplant can often be done entirely through the blood. We have less than a month to find a match for Michelle. The outcome is simple -- someone lives because of your donation. You could be the one to save Michelle, or one of thousands of other people like her.

Your generosity knows no bounds. We cannot express in words our immense appreciation for everyone that has registered. Team Michelle has been working around the clock organizing bone marrow drives around the country to find Michelle a match. With each person that registers, we are one step closer to saving the life of someone in need.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.

Friday, July 25, 2008 - 12:29 am
Follow Through (Update from Michelle)

The search for a donor is a long, slow and winding road. There are so many bumps to overcome in the process, from the very initial point of contact where you try to shed awareness on someone who may have never heard of bone marrow donations, to the final steps in getting a potential match to commit as a donor.

The entire donor recruitment journey is important, but in my opinion the most crucial part is the final follow through. There is nothing more disheartening than hearing about patients who find matches, only to have their only life-saving donor back out of the process. I can’t imagine how it must feel to know that someone has the power to save your life but simply chooses not to.
It surprisingly happens all the time–about 50% of registered Asians who are contacted as potential matches will decline to donate. Crazy, I know.

Despite the bumps in the road to finding my donor, I’m so inspired by the help and support from all of you who have been helping with the search. It inspires me to keep fighting.

Whomever is heading to AC2, be a man or woman...and go donate some time and take the test. And if you by chance you get the honor of saving someone's life, don't be the 50% of Asian Americans who become little bitches and flake out.  I did my home kit test weeks ago...

Randy Pausch Dies

Who's Randy Pausch? A while back I sent out an inspirational youtube clip of him on Oprah...

Randy Pausch is a professor, a husband, a father, a good family man who only had X amount of time to live...he lived the remaining days of his life inspiring thousands of people with his speech - The Last Lecture.

RIP Randy Pausch...

I don't need to explain further, just view the following video clip:

This is Randy Pausch's home page where he documented his health status and wrote journals of his daily life: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~pausch/ But after his death the site's obviously getting bombarded and down at the moment...what we call the "slash dot" effect...please check later.

The Cleaner with Hotty Grace Park...

Each week THE CLEANER follows Benjamin Bratt as William Banks, a recovering addict who helps others get clean by any means necessary as he struggles to maintain his own rocky personal life. William works with an eclectic team. Swenton is a wily smart aleck who is great undercover and always jealous of Akani, the beautiful, manipulative, and mysterious woman who always seems to get the best assignments and might just have a romantic past with William. Darnell is the newest member of William's crew. Darnell is deeply indebted to William for helping his younger brother get clean, but he must balance his deep religious convictions with the kind of work required as part of William's team.

Together with this eclectic group, William works week-in and week-out to bring addicts of all kinds to the point where they are ready and willing to get help and begin the difficult process of getting clean. With every success and every failure, William wrestles with his own demons through an unusual relationship with God. He's a man caught between an unwavering commitment to his work, deep love for his family, and the ghosts of his own addictions. Bad for his personal life, perhaps, but these are the tensions that make William the one you want helping a troubled loved one, the one you trust to do whatever is necessary, the man you want by your side in your darkest hour. In the face of tragedy and addiction, William Banks will risk everything to be The Cleaner. (The Cleaner on A&E.)

And another thing...In Hollywood, the tag line for Japanese acting roles seems to be "Korean, the other Japanese..." Is there a shortage of Japanese American actors?

Leonardo Nam plays a Japanese American during World War 2 when he is forced to go to an internment camp in American Pastime. He also plays a Japanese gangster in Fast and the Furious 3.

Aaron Yoo also plays  a Japanese American in American Pastime.

Brian Tee plays D.K. in the Fast and the Furious 3. ...oh wait, he's half-Korean and half-Japanese. nvm.

James Kyson Lee plays Ando Masahashi in Heroes.

Joon Park plays a Japanese Gangster in Speed Racer.

Jamie Chung plays a Samurai Girl on some family network.

Linda Park plays Hoshi Sato in Star Trek Enterprise.

Rick Yune...is a Japanese guy in Rain's ninja movie.

Hollywood even imports Korean actors to play Japanese characters...

Bi/Rain will play a ninja warrior and in most cases...ninja's are Japanese.

Lee Byung-Hun will play Storm Shadow in GIJOE.

Jun Ji-hyun plays Saya Otonashi in Blood the Last Vampire.

MMA Recap

WAZ UP DUDES AND DUDETTES!!!! First some news on my favorite mma fighter Rampage Jackson. I'm sure you know about his episode in Costa Mesa, where he drove through cars and pedistrians on his self-logo'ed truck and led the police to a nice little car chase in the sun. Keep in mind he was drug free, but mentally he's got something going on man....

After he got bailed out he was immediately detained again and hospitalized for mental healthy evaluation. Did you know that he had not slept for 4 days straight and ate nothing, just drank water and energy drinks? Consequently, he went coo coo for coco puffs. I was very sad when he was robbed of his title, and now i'm depressed that he'll be out of commission for a long time...sigh.

In other mma news, anyone see Affliction, the "other" mma league other than UFC? They had a big draw with someone who I consider the best fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko and Tim Sylvia, a former UFC heavyweight champ. Needless to say, Fedor beat him in like 35 seconds.

Wow........................

Can we please see fedor vs randy couture please? Before couture dies of old age??? In my EXPERT mma opinion, I THINK FEDOR WILL ROCK COUTURE, standing up, on the ground, ju-jit-su, dirty boxing, whatever. But as some of you know Randy is still in the middle of a contract dispute with UFC, and I'm not sure if this will ever happen.

Now you have couple of billionairs getting into mma, with Donald Trump's organization running Affliction, and Mark Cuban running HDNet Fights....it's gonna get interesting to say the least. Hey, more competition the better if you ask me. Just look at the old WWF days (WWE now), they were at best when other leagues like WCW or NWA or were giving them a run for their money. Any kind of monopoly in combat sport is no goooooood.

AS for my personal weekend recap, I flew over to Vegas (bachelor party) on Friday at 6pm and flew back the next morning at 7AM. I went to vegas with zero luggage, nothing but the clothes on my back and my wallet. Didn't sleep, stayed up all night 'til my flight home. It was so sweet traveling light. No lines. I had watched the movie 21 (Bringing Down the House) a day earlier, so I was amp'ed about playing some black jack and counting cards LOL. movie reference: I kept looking for someone to fold them arms behind the chair so I can come in bet big - Winner winner chicken dinner! Needless to say, the dealer was pulling 21's out of his ass and I lost, and lost big. Played Pai Gow Poker, lost. Played poker, lost. I hate vegas.

I watched Batman on Sunday, OMG no joke. Best film of the summer. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire two and a half hours. You know how everyone's been ranting and raving about how great Heath Ledger is with the joker role? He really is. Amazing film. Go watch it kids, ok? ok.

out of sight, out of mind? thank God no one was hurt.

The statement from the Dallas Police Department on the above incident reveals that the driver and his 10-year-old son escaped unharmed:

At approximately 3 PM, Tuesday, July 2, a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, pulling a new travel trailer, hit the corner of the Texas State Bank Drive-In on Tenaha Street, causing the complete awning to come to the ground. Luckily, the driver of the Dodge, Mickey Miller, of Garrison and his 10 year old son were able to exit their vehicle uninjured. Mark Ivy of Texas State Bank stated that the main lobby would be open for business while the drive-in is being repaired.

YoYo Girl Cop!

On Sunday, as I was contemplating on how I was goin to stop global warming, ending all war and promoting peace and unity throughout the world, I got a sudden urge to watch a movie. So I obliged and took my lazy self to the video store.

In the vid store, this video caught my attention.

I said to myself, how stupid can this movie be? Oh my gosh, it looks so F'in stupid. But I couldn't resist and deny the fact of how cute this girl was... = ) So I rented it.
Unfortunately, my suspicion came true. The movie F'in sucked!!! but I found myself stuck to the TV screen checking this girlie out... Something like these:

So you might think, yeah she's cute but not that cute to make a horrible movie into a good movie? Well for some reason, I was more drawn to her cuz she was so gangster in the movie. Like this:

So what is the moral of this blog? You may not be able to judge a book by it's cover, but you sure can on a movie! lol For all that likes cute gangster women, I definitely recommend this movie. it gets a two thumb up!... For all the girls out there, I would say this movie is not for you!

So I found that the girl's name is Aya Matsuura, a Japanese actress/singer or something like that. If you know her, or know of someone who knows her, or if you are her. Let her know MrCLoWnY thought she was cute..

Just a lil though! hehe

I'll end this blog with a Booya and a Gyeah! Now back to saving the world!

Thanks for reading.

funny painting

i was walking along the shops in south lake tahoe during the 4th of july weekend when i came across a gallery with this painting inside.

July 15, 2008

nothing special, but it did remind of the old eddie murphy stand up "delirious." in it, he asks at one point if there are any children in the audience. probably because he was swearing excessively and talking about all sorts of "adult" subject matter. so, he tells this joke just in case there are:

July 19th, an Audrey Kawasaki Print is available...

An Audrey Kawasaki print is finally up for sale....220 for a print, 450 framed...on the 19th. I just might....waste money on it. I would have preferred one on a skateboard plank instead...but the print is PG-13 and can be hung on the walls modestly.

My Sister's Dog Pinky

SO yeah no softball update this week...i did take my camera there but the battery died suddenly. I will just tell you that we got our ass kicked again by Privileged & Confidential (yup - that was our opponent's name).

So instead I bring you PINKY, my sister's dog. I don't know how my sister does it but she taught pinky like 20 dog tricks man...she just sent this video to me via text...she taught pinky how to "BE A LADY" this time...lol.

video

The one thing cool about pinky is that she knows variations of commands...for example, it's not just sitting down...she can differentiate between sit, sit pretty, sit like a lady....or differentiate between shake, high five, the other hand....etc.

Now if i can only teach her how to cook me up a nice ribeye steak....

P90X & Korean Food

SO yeah some of you that know me are aware that i've been on this tony horton p90x bandwagon for 9 weeks now...going on 10th. For those of you that don't know p90x is a 90 day program that's suppose to transform your fatass into what they refer to as...the perfect beach body. i guess it's kinda working so far...although i only see slight improvements here and there, others have commented:

"i've never seen you this fit before, even when you used to go to the gym." - mrclowny

"wow you look all chizzled and shiet." - seoul sister

"daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang you look pretty cut now!" - penn

"when joo get so buff?" - kulio

"you lost soooo much weight." - beckster

"your stomach got flatter." - LL

"wow i love your body can i please please have sex with you????" - club girls

ok just kidding about the club girls comment but yeah, im getting good feedback and so far, so......i'm a fan of p90x, and a fan of tony horton. The dude's kinda funny...but it's the kind of funny where you're laughing at him, not with him??

I laugh each time i hear him go "Hint of the day! DON'T SMASH YOUR FACE!" during the lying-down-triceps exercise LOL.

but i give the man props. he just turned 50 last week! i wish i have his beach bodddday when i turn 50, sheesh.

ANYWAYS, that's not why i wanted to write about p90x...i signed up for their newsletter and i received an interesting article on korean food, titled Why Korean Women Don't Get Fat. Well that's a bold statement ain't it? Basically the article talks about how our diet consists of seafood, kimchee, and rice, despite the popularity of korean bbq.

well, i think xanga's ktownfug would have something to say about that, don't you???

4th of July Weekend

Hope everyone had a ssssex-tacular 4th of july weekend! i can't believe it's over so fast...when's the next 3 day weekend already???

thursday - drank with the fellas at dit gol mok (back alley) in ktown...where i *just* learned that dak-ddong-jim or -jip or whatever is not really chicken asshole (yes im an idiot). it's really gizzard, that shit pocket in their throats that catches dirt and rocks and all that crap...it's still gross. it feels like im chewing on rubberbands or something....i just stuck to my soon-dae and jeh-il-bok-geum and soju and beer.

friday - hosted a lil' beeebeeeequeue at my place...first time i used the grill at courtyard....top sirloin and rib eye and links...and corn...lots of 'i can't believe it's not butter' and watermelon...sweet sweet watermelon.

afterwards we all went to burbank amc to watch hancock. i thought it was very entertaining, mr. july will smith doesn't disappoint, and charlize theron is a fox! yup, i didn't know she was even in this movie...anyhoo, shwiiiiiiiiiiing~!

saturday - phil-t hosted another beeeebeeequeue at his pad....leila's kimchi bok-geum-bap was indeed, very tasty. just as good as what they serve at viking yose!

UFC fight b/w rampage and griffin
pissed me off though...am I the only one that thinks rampage got robbed? the two judges scored 10-9 in FAVOR of griffin in the first round? are you kidding me? since when do you win rounds when you receive an uppercut the jaw and fall to your knees? sure griffin won the second round but he wasn't doing any damage on the ground! i was so pissed off man...but we played poker later that night and i won lil' over $200...i did it for rampaaaage man!!! sniff, sniff.

source: http://blog.ronin5.com/ufc-86-video-quinton-rampage-jackson-vs-forrest-griffin/

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

sunday - went to go watch 'body worlds 3' exhibit at the california science center...

they all look the same to me after a while, but still...quite interesting. they had a booth where you can get more info on donating your body...i'd consider it IF and only IF they allow me to pose how i want to pose....like this.

ahahahahahahhaahahha! i know i know, the 'how-asian-ppl-take-photos' thing is old...

afterwards i went to go eat some roastgui at seoul garden...mmmmmm so good....i love how they butter up the pan. i mean i love chadol and all but if you like korean bbq, you have to try this place man, i'm telling you!

all in all a ggggreat weekend! sorry for the lack of personal photos this time around, didn't have my camera with me....but maybe that's a good thing?

Audrey Kawasaki...

I have a new crush...and her name is Audrey Kawasaki...and if I had $45,000...I'd commission her to paint me 3 Giant Robot Rocket Punch stylized girls...using 3 skateboards as her canvises...and then marry her!!! Just kidding...but I'm serious about the Giant Robot thing...

Audrey Kawasaki (born March 31, 1982) is a Los Angeles-based painter and erotic artist, known for her distinctive, erotically charged portrayals of young, adolescent girls. Her works are oil paintings painted directly onto wood panels, and her style has been described as a fusion of Art Nouveau and Japanese manga.[2][3][5][6][4]

Kawasaki studied fine art painting for two years at the Pratt Institute in New York City, but left after two years without completing her degree. She cites the emphasis in the New York art scene on conceptual art, an approach at odds with her figurative, illustrative style, as among the reasons she left.[2][3][4][5] As of 2006, Kawasaki is considered a rising star in the Los Angeles art scene.[7] In 2005, Kawasaki designed the cover art for Alice Smith's For Lovers, Dreamers & Me.[4]

what's the big deal? you see in korea, robot taekwon v is symbolic to the country as hodori was to the 88 olympics...they worship this fictional robot man!!! plus it can kick mazinga z's ass lol (sorry my lil' jab @ japan)....i keeeeed i looove japan!!
