"You! Get off your ass and finish that article! It's due by Friday!" Does that sound appealing to you? Are you a masochist at heart? Then hey, you're in the right place! Ktown213 just wouldn't be Ktown213 without the hard work and support of our volunteers, and we are always looking for talented and creative individuals to expand our roster. So if you're an aspiring writer and you're dying to flex them brain muscles of yours, consider typing up your thoughts and sending them our way. Not only will they make their way into our Articles section, but you'll have some cool work to show off to your friends too! We do have some guidelines that we'd like you to follow though, because we're meanies like that… 1. Type out your submission and e-mail it to our Chief Editor latchoi@ktown213.com. 2. There is no length requirement, although we typically like articles to be between 1/2 and 2 pages in length. Longer is okay, but try to cut out the blah blah blah so people make it to the end. 3. We will consider ANYTHING submitted for publication as long as it is well written. You can write about a personal experience, food that you like, why the sun doesn't hit the mountains when it sets, and all kinds of stuff like that. 4. Please proof-read your article before sending it to make sure everything is okay (ie. grammar and spelling). We'll check it for you also but wouldn't you like to be professional? Other than that, we'd really like to encourage everyone to submit us their thoughts. There is no such thing as a bad story... period! The only thing bad would be if you wanted to write something for us and you never do. If it's important to you, then it's important to us. And to give you even more incentive to start you on your way, us Ktown213 kooks have developed this neat-o rewards program to put you in the mood to write! The more articles that you decide to submit, the more cool and super fresh your mystery gift will be!
If you're an illustrator and you're starting to wonder, "Hey, how can I get in on this?" don't worry, we haven't forgotten you. Just show us your online portfolio or e-mail us some of your work (compress your images please) and if we like what we see, we'll set you up with a few jobs. Then you can brag to all your friends about how cool your artwork looks on our site! So what are you waiting for? Stop reading this boring stuff and check out the stupid def stuff on our site! And after checking that out, sit down with a hot cup of cocoa and begin writing your own Ktown213 article! We'd love to get em… and why not eh? Ktown213 magazine may be used as a forum to express one's opinions, thoughts, or ideas, but Ktown213 magazine will not be held responsible for any malicious, harmful, or damaging circumstances that may arise from a given article/illustration. Ktown213 magazine and it's associates may not be implicated in any legal action as a result of any submission. 3. Any work submitted is done so on a purely volunteer basis. Any compensation given out by Ktown213 is done so on a good-will basis, and may be revoked at any time. |
