This year’s Billboard Music Awards was quite special. Ken Jeong, the first Asian-American to host the Billboard Music Awards, introduced fellow Asian rap group, Far East Movement (FM).
The group kicked off the mix with Ryan Tedder from One Republic, singing their song “Rocketeer” with some lovely lady violinists adding their touch to the beats. FM then went into a snippet of their number one song “Like a G6,” that has been on top of radio play since beginning of this year, Snoop Dogg joined the group as they kicked off the song “If I was You (OMG).” It was nice to see the Dogfather of Rap, Snoop Dogg matching FM’s attire. Far East Movment certainly has come a long way since their local playig days in Ktown, haven’t they? Check out our old interview with FM from 2006, and check out what you missed last night.
