LOS ANGELES – A 24-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to 54 years to life in the shooting death of an Anaheim Hills man outside a Koreatown bar in Los Angeles.
Louis Woo Lee, 24, was called by friends to go to the bar after the group had gotten into an argument there.
Lee was convicted Sept. 24 of second-degree murder and two counts of assault with a firearm in a Los Angeles court.
Authorities say Michael Kim, 36, tried to intervene in a fight outside the M2 Café & Karaoke Bar, 4001 W. Sixth Street, on June 7, 2009, when he was shot in the head. Officials believe the shot was not aimed at Kim.
