The preview for a new spin-off of MTV’s popular reality TV show Jersey Shore has started circulating on the web.

K-Town, set in the Korea Town sector of Los Angeles, has a similar tone to the MTV original, only this time the show focuses on Asian Americans. The show is still in pilot stage as it’s yet to be picked up by a network.

The cast, pictured above, are Young Lee, Jennifer Field, Joe Cha, Scarlet Chan, Violet Kim, Peter Le, Steve Kim, and Jasmine Chang.

K-Town joins another two Jersey Shore spin-offs according to the NY Post – there’s also a Russian-American version set in Brighton Beach and another starring senior citizens at a nursing home.

Jersey Shore, which started on the cable MTV network in 2009, follows the lives of eight housemates spending their summer at the Jersey Shore on the US east coast.

While the show was criticised for its portrayals of Italian-American stereotypes on its debut, it went on to garner record ratings for MTV, making it the network’s most viewed series telecast ever and it made the likes of ‘Snooki’, ‘J-Woww’ and ‘The Situation’ household names.

The original Jersey Shore has been given the green light for a fourth season, with the cast heading to Italy to film the new series.

It will premiere on US screens later this year.
